Kirk A. Bado is editor of The Hotline. He directs campaign coverage, edits National Journal’s twice daily political newsletters, and leads a team of correspondents covering the day-to-day political news from races all over the country. Kirk has been a guest on C-SPAN’s Washington Journal, WTOP radio, and hosts the National Journal Radio podcast. Prior to National Journal, Kirk worked at USA Today, Reuters, the Arizona Republic, the Tennessean, and EdNC. He started at The Hotline as a House campaigns correspondent. Originally from Pittsburgh, Kirk graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Master’s in mass communication after completing his B.S. in politics and public law at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn.
